Before and after school programs (sometimes called OST or Out-of-School Time programs) serve children and youth of all ages and are currently in high-demand due to their positive impact.
The activities in which children and youth engage while outside of school hours are critical to their development per a research report conducted by the After School Alliance in Michigan.
YDC/PAL's program encompasses a broad range of focus areas including academic support, mentoring, youth development, arts, sports and recreation. Programs like the one we offer generate positive outcomes for children and young adults including improved academic performance, classroom behavior, health and nutrition.
It has also been proven that communities and businesses also benefit when youth have safe and productive ways to spend their time while their parents are at work.
